Mick McCarthy has been praised by Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan for his impact on the Championship club since joining as manager.
The former Republic of Ireland manager went quickly back into management with the Bluebirds following a short-lived tenure at APOEL Nicosia in Cyprus.
It appears that things are working out for McCarthy in South Wales.
"I am very happy, very pleased that Mick McCarthy has done a great job in a short while," Tan told TalkSport.

"Definitely, any owner would be very pleased with his performance, so I am really very happy and thankful that Mick and all his boys did a great job.
"This needs everybody's cooperation and the team has stepped up well under Mick's leadership. Hopefully, we can do better and get into the playoffs."
McCarthy's simple approach to management has garnered 17 points from a possible 21 since taking charge in January. Tan believes that the squad is good enough for the Premier League.
"We pray that will be able to get there. For example, last season we were in the playoffs. Neil Harris, our former manager, did a great job last season, unfortunately this season didn't do too well so we had to change.
I believe Mick is doing a great job and we have a good chance of getting to the play-offs. If we are blessed, we hope to be promoted. Everyone wants to be promoted."
Meanwhile, midfielder Will Vaulks spoke about McCarthy's simple approach to management.
"There was no big, long speech,” Vaulks told The Guardian.
“It was just: ‘Listen. I’m here to try and improve you. I know how good you are. I want to get the best out of you.’ It was 30 seconds of introduction and let’s get on the pitch and improve’.”
