Super Bowl 53: Do Rams have tricks up their sleeves?

This Sunday night, many of us will tune into Super Bowl LIII which takes place in Atlanta.

The New England Patriots are back yet again as coach Bill Belichick and quarter-back Tom Brady find a way to progress.

And on the opposite side, it's the Los Angeles Rams who are coming into it with a young coach in Sean McVay (33).

There are many subplots going into the showdown and The Ringer's John Gonzalez helped us preview it.

While Belichick is one of the wiliest characters in the NFL, we'll see what McVay can come up with.

"These last few years, we've really seen the league focus on Sean McVay as maybe the the heir apparent to a Belichick," he said.

"His star is very much on the rise. That was true before the Super Bowl and that's even more true after the Super Bowl.

Trick Plays

"He's the guy we're going to be watching for the next decade or so.

"In the same way that we give Bill Belichick credit for adapting to the opposition for changing up his tactics, Sean Mc Vay has shown a propensity for that - that he's a bit of a gambler in certain situations.

"You hear over and over again that he's a great communicator and that he understands his players.

"But all those things in conjunction with each other, make for a really good mix."

But he'll have to find a surprise factor to overcome the Patriots and Belichick. And Gonzalez added: "I wouldn't be surprised if Sean McVay had some trick plays."
