Marc Bircham has been confirmed as the new head coach at Waterford FC.
It's the Londoner's first managerial role following spells as first-team coach at Queens Park Rangers, and assistant manager with both Millwall and MLS side Chicago Fire.
In March of 2020, he was appointed technical director for the Bahamas Football Association, overseeing the development of the men's, women's and youth teams.
Bircham replaces Kevin Sheedy who, along with assistant Mike Newell, left the club after a tumultuous five months in charge.
Mike Geoghegan had been in charge for last week's 7-0 hammering at the hands of Drogheda United for which Waterford had to field an entirely U19 team.
Bircham is currently isolating following his arrival from England. Pending COVID-19 testing, the Blues hope to have him in the dugout for the May 21 visit of Derry City to the RSC.
