Tight at the top as Galway and Tyrone move level with the Dubs

There's a three-way tie for the lead at the top of Division 1 in the Allianz Football League, as both Galway and Tyrone recorded round three wins to move level at the top with Dublin.

On a day that saw several games across the divisions fall foul of the weather, conditions looked to have played their part across the country, with Tyrone coming from four down at the break to see off Kerry, Galway staging a big comeback versus Donegal and Mayo surviving a big Meath second half to see themselves home.

In Edendork, Kerry captain David Clifford was shown a controversial late red card, as Tyrone inflicted a first defeat of the season on the beaten All-Ireland finalists. Peter Keane's side built up an 0-8 to 0-4 lead by half time, but Tyrone took advantage after the break, to hold on for a one-point win, 0-14 to 0-13.

The Red Hand County had further cause to celebrate, as Cathal McShane made his first appearance of the season off the bench - after turning down advances from the AFL - kicking a free to help his side over the line.

Galway join Tyrone and Dublin on four points. Padraic Joyce's side bounced back from last week's defeat to Kerry. Just as in Edendork, it was a game of two halves as they came from 7-down to win by a score.

Second-half goals for cornerbacks Johnny Heaney and Sean Kelly saw the Tribesmen edge past Declan Bonner's side 2-8 to 2-7.

There was almost a similar comeback at Pairc Tailteann in Navan, as Mayo saw off Meath 1-9 to 2-5. Having led by 7 points to 1 at half time, James Horan's side had to hold on for the narrowest of wins, courtesy of a Kevin McLaughlin.

Meanwhile in Division 2, Roscommon picked up their first win of the campaign, building up a sizable first half lead against Clare, eventually seeing off the Banner 1-8 to 0-4.

Fermanagh drop into the bottom 2, after a 10 points to 8 defeat to Westmeath.

Cork remain on course for promotion from Division 3, maintaining their 100 percent record with a 16 points to 1-8 win against Down. Longford are a point back in second, defeating Leitrim by 2-14 to 1-9, while Derry climb to third, defeating Tipperary by 10 points to 6.

Limerick's winning start in Division 4 is extended to three games. Billy Lee's side edged past Carlow by 1-7 to 9 points, while Antrim were 14 points to 10 winners away to London.
