Finn Harps have completed the signing of Jesse Devers.

The winger is back in Ballybofey, having left the club for north-west rivals Sligo Rovers in 2020.

Devers played a pivotal role in getting Harps promoted in 2018, scoring five and assisting three as the Donegal club went up via the playoffs.

"I’m delighted to be back at the club," said the 24-year old, "I haven’t enough good things to say about the people behind the scenes and how I was treated in my first spell here.

"I’m really excited to get started now in preseason and hopefully we’ll have a good season.”

Alongside Devers' signing, Harps also confirmed that their longest-serving player - Mark Timlin - will continue with the club into the 2022 season.

Meanwhile, Glentoran confirmed the signing of Sean Murray on Monday evening.

The midfielder spent the past three seasons at Dundalk, following his return to Ireland from Danish club Vejle.

Murray made 89 appearances for the Lilywhites, and his six goals in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division last season helped steer the club away from relegation danger.

In better news for Stephen O'Donnell, both Darragh Leahy and Dave McMillan will return in 2022.

Bohemians replaced like-for-like on Monday, with the addition of Max Murphy to their squad on a "multi-year deal".

The left-back will take the place of Anto Breslin, who swapped Bohs for FAI Cup-winners St. Pat's at the weekend.

Murphy (20) came through the Stoke City youth programme, before joining Shamrock Rovers in 2020. He made 10 league appearances for the champions last term.

Murphy is Bohs' second signing of the week, following the acquisition of Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe.

St. Pat's added Jon Daly to their coaching staff ahead of the new season.

The former Dundee United and Rangers striker will be Tim Clancy's assistant manager at Richmond Park.

Daly cut his coaching teeth at Hearts, before moving on to Finnish side Turku.

Crucially, the 38-year old is the holder of a UEFA Pro Licence.

"I'm delighted to be joining the club," said Daly, "I've known Tim for a long time since we played against each other in Scotland and did our coaching badges together.

"I've always kept an eye on his coaching career and how he's been doing and we kept in contact. He did a fantastic job at Drogheda in his first job in management.

"It didn't take me too long to accept his offer to join, it's a really exciting opportunity for me and one I'm really looking forward to.

"I went away at 15 and had a career in professional football, I was very lucky to live that but now I have the opportunity to come back home and help the players at St Pat's.

"I've heard great things about the club, the first team and also the brilliant academy and people involved.

"Tim had a great record at Drogheda United of working both with experienced players but also younger ones. There is nothing better as a supporter than seeing academy players develop and do well in the first team, so I'm really looking forward to being involved."
