England have reached the last four of Euro 2020 after a 4-0 win over Ukraine in Rome on Saturday night.

Gareth Southgate's side got off to a dream start with captain Harry Kane scoring in just the fourth minute.

Raheem Sterling dribbled down the left before playing an incredible reverse pass through a gap of four defenders to find Kane who whipped it past Ukraine's gaolkeeper Bushchan, into the bottom left.

The rest of the first half was then relatively uneventful.

The closest chance for either side came in the 17th minute when Roman Yaremchuk picked up a loose Klye Walker pass in the middle of the park.

He then made it down the left wing before shooting from the bottom-left corner.

Jordan Pickford continued his impressive showing in this tournament though as he turned the ball around the post and nothing came of the corner.

England led 1-0 at half-time.

They then doubled their advantage in the first minute after the resumption of play.

England were awarded a free kick from 30 yards out after Serhiy Sydorchuk stood on Harry Kane’s foot.

Luke Shaw came up to take it and curled it into the box where Harry Maguire got a header on it on the edge of the six-yard box to get his first goal of the tournament.

Then just four minutes later Harry Kane got another to make it 3-0 with an excellent England team goal.

Mason Mount drove down the inside left before slipping the ball to Sterling, who produced a brilliant back-flick towards Luke Shaw.

The full-back reached the touchline, before sending a beautiful pass into Harry Kane to head it down.

In the 57th minute, Gareth Southgate made his first change of the evening with Jordan Henderson replacing Declan Rice in midfield.

Then just six minutes later, the Liverpool skipper had his first-ever English goal.

He got his head onto the end of a Kalvin Phillips free-kick and sent it into the bottom left of the Ukraine goal to make it 4-0.

England were now cruising towards a semi-final at Wembley Stadium and controlled the rest of the game with no threat posed anywhere on the pitch by Andriy Shevchenko's side.

It finished up 4-0 after another uneventful half-an-hour meaning the Three Lions kept their fifth clean sheet of the tournament.

England will play Denmark in the last four in London on Wednesday night.
