Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says it remains unclear if Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlin and Nacho Monreal will be fit for Sunday’s clash with Liverpool at the Emirates.
The trio will be given until tomorrow to prove their fitness. Laurent Koscielny is definitely out.
Wenger is happy with the Gunners’ recent record and hopes they can show their form at Liverpool. Harking back to their 5-1 thrashing by Brendan Rodgers’ men back in February, Wenger melodramatically pronounced that “every defeat is a scar in your heart forever”.
Both the Merseysiders and the Gunners have been inconsistent this season and John Giles says they suffer similar problems.
