WATCH: Europe added a few spectacular strikes to a golden weekend of goals

If the Premier League treated us to some spectacular goals this weekend, the continent did alright as well.

Carlos Tevez's winner for Juventus against Empoli was all about unerring accuracy: 

Not so accurate from the referee, who probably should not have given that indirect free-kick for what was deemed as a backpass collected by the goalkeeper.

Struggling AC Milan had a better weekend than usual thanks to Jeremy Menez's solo goal against Palermo:

Meanwhile, France's Le Classique between Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain lived up to expectations in an end-to-end 3-2 win for the Parisians.

In La Liga, Cristiano Ronaldo scored five goals as Real Madrid cruised past a hapless Granada side, and Jeremy Mathieu (who BBC's European football live blog compared to a "farmer from Sligo" appearance-wise) gave league leaders Barcelona a narrow 1-0 win at Celta Vigo.

But the moment that really caught the eye was a bizarre red card for the Galician side's Fabian Orellana threw a tuft of grass at Barca's noted Oscar-winning actor Sergio Busquets:

And one that's only reached my attention now was Recreativo Huelva's Pedro Rios who did exactly what Charlie Adam managed to do against Chelsea on Saturday against Numancia in the Spanish second division:
