Transfer Talk: Tottenham snap up Dutch striker and Gold demands £50m for Payet

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Dutch striker Vincent Janssen on a four-year-deal this afternoon, with the club announcing the move on Twitter.

Janssen, 22, moves from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar subject to international clearance. He completed his medical on Monday and has joined for a fee believed to be north of £18m.

Janssen scored 27 goals last season to finish as the Eredivisie's top scorer.

Elsewhere today, Graziano Pellé becomes the world's 6th highest paid player in the world after completing his move to Chinese club Shandong Luneng.

The Italian, who scored 30 goals for Southampton during a two-year stint with the club, will take home an eye-watering £275,000 per week.

Barcelona have completed their move for Lyon defender Samuel Umtiti in a deal worth to be about £21m to the French club.

He will undergo a medical, which is expected to be on Friday, before he signs his contract.

Alvaro Negredo may be on his way back to the Premier League this season as newly promoted Middlesbrough have opened talks to take the striker to the Riverside Stadium.

David Gold has warned "superclubs" off signing West Ham's star man, Dimitri Payet. Speaking on the BBC, the club's co-chairman said that his side would not listen to offers under £50m for the player.

Swansea City have completed the signing of Manchester United youth prospect, Tyler Reid. The 18-year-old signs a three year deal with the Welsh club for an undisclosed fee and will join them during their pre-season campaign.

Moussa Sissoko looks set to remain at Newcastle after his string of impressive performances at the European Championships this summer.

The Magpies are looking for £35m to take the play away from St. James's Park, but Sissoko's agent has said he doesn't understand the fee.

"It was agreed that Moussa stayed one more season at Newcastle to help the team. He did the best he could. The club has always said Moussa could leave for between €18m and €25m maximum.

"We hope that Rafael Benitez and the president will be more reasonable about Moussa's future.

"He has always been loyal, he has always respected the club, the fans. There are clubs who came to us and the club. We are fully aware of their approaches."
