The Final Whistle: Froome closes in on Tour glory

GAA

Fermanagh reached their first All-Ireland quarter-final in over a decade with a nine-point win over Westmeath.

The Ulster side ran out nine-point winners this evening, but it will be Westmeath who will rue missed opportunities and kicked a lot of loose ball in the second half.

Tomas Cribbin was the star performer as he racked up a personal tally of 1-7.

Meanwhile, Kildare caused the upset of the day as they overcame Cork in round 4A of the football qualifiers, running out convincing eight-point winners.

The Lilywhites put in a brave performance to quell any dangerous Cork play, dominating the majority of the game.

Elsewhere, Off The Ball also caught up with former Dublin hurler,Cormac Ryan and his efforts with charity “Cycle for Life”
