Ronaldo hat-trick sparks Juventus comeback

Last week, Manchester United and Ajax staged second leg comebacks. This week, it's Juventus who have followed suit in the Champions League.

Trailing 2-0 from the first leg, Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick saw Juve overcome Atletico Madrid.

Two headers either side of the break saw Ronaldo draw both sides level on aggregate.

And a penalty five minutes from time saw him complete his hat-trick and guide Juventus through to the quarter-finals.

For Atletico, it means they not only miss out on the last-eight but also means they won't make it to a final in their own stadium.

City stroll through

Manchester City though could still play in the Wanda Metropolitano in May. Having won the first leg against Schalke 3-2, they had a much easier night at the Etihad.

Indeed, it was a stroll. Pep Guardiola's side thrashed the struggling German side 7-0. Sergio Aguero scored twice, while Leroy Sane also helped himself to a first half goal.

Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden and Gabriel Jesus added the four second half goals.

Juventus and City will now be in Friday's UEFA draw for the quarter-finals.
