Tottenham and England captain Harry Kane continued his argument with the referee into the tunnel at half time, after he was denied a goal in the first half.

Tottenham Hotspur lost 2-0 to Chelsea in the final Premier League match of the weekend. However, Kane felt that his first half strike should have counted as a goal.

The incident occurred in the 40th minute of the match, when Kane found himself open in the box, however it was ruled a foul as he appeared to have pushed Thiago Silva off the defensive line that he was running.

While the Sky Sports pundits originally thought it was a score, upon watching the replays, they did agree with the referee.

Speaking on Sky Sports at half time, Manchester United legend Roy Keane disagreed with Gary Neville, who did not believe it was a foul.

"Believe it or not, Gary is wrong," Keane said. "It was a break Spurs, counter attack, and when you are running that pace, at the time I thought it was a goal, but he does lean into him.

"I think the referee has got 100% right. I think when you are running at that pace, there is [enough force for a foul]. You are going to go down."

Jamie Redknapp, who joined Keane on Sky Sports, agreed, however he felt that Silva milked the foul.

"He makes the most of it, Thiago," Redknapp said. "He goes over. It is theatrical, it's clever."

Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who was also analysing the match fro Sky Sports, believed that Silva did not need to milk the foul, as Kane would have overrun the pass anyway.

"He didn't need to, but I think he wanted to stop," Hasselbaink said. "[Kane] has his hand there. You can see that he pushed him a little bit.

"I must say, what a finish. Very calm, very Kane-like. But he did give him a little nudge."

Before the teams ran out for the second half, Kane could be seen arguing with the referee in the tunnel. Kenae jokingly commented that, 'if Harry keeps appealing, the referee just might change his mind! You never know.'

"He is the England captain, you know!" Keane joked.
