WATCH: Klopp praises work of players after massive win at Crystal Palace

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp was in better form speaking to BT Sport this Saturday afternoon.

The Reds boss' interview with Des Kelly made headlines last month as he vented his frustration following a 1-1 draw with Brighton.

Klopp blamed the broadcaster for his side having to play in the Premier League's lunchtime game after featuring in Europe during the week.

This weekend he didn't have much to complain about after his side hammered Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Goals from Minamino, Sadio Mané, Jordan Henderson, and two from both Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah saw them beat Roy Hodgson's side 7-0.

Klopp said although it was quite a scoreline, it wasn't an easy win and he praised his side for their work rate.

"There were a lot of counter-attacking moments by Crystal Palace in the first half.

"We needed a long foot or tow to defend, they had their moments, 100% but our finishing in the first half was really clinical.

"Being 3-0 up at half-time, the game is not finished so we had to stay concentrated, that was the challenge, but the boys controlled the game, scored wonderful goals and won it."

The win means that Liverpool open a six-point gap at the top of the table at least for now.

The three points do mean however that they're guaranteed to spend Christmas at the top as they continue their quest to retain the title.
