After defeat to Southampton on Saturday, Chelsea's hope of defending their title are all but extinguished and their collapse this season is unprecedented in the Premier Legaue era.
On tonight's show, Pat Nevin attempted to explain just what has gone wrong at Chelsea football club and if at all they can turn their season around.
"The most common question I get asked by people is ' Wha's gone wrong with Chelsea?'" he said.
"The whole thing there isn't just one reason [for their capitulation], there's a whole bunch of reasons. If it was just one Mourinho would have figured it out by now.
"It's extraordinary to hear him say that the team are fragile mentally because he prides himself on the mental toughness of the team."
Nevin was quick to point out that these may not be complex issues within the club or the players, it can be as straightforward as top players performing without confidence.
"It's the simple things I've said before, that your top players aren't performing. But its a little more than that" he explained.
"For a long time, teams came to Stamford Bridge and thought 'Right, we'll hold out here and see if we can manage and stay in the game and maybe break every now and then.'
"Before they turned up with fear. Not anymore. Take for example Branislav Ivanovic.
"People wonder what had happened to him and say tht over the summer he's gotten very poor. Perhaps not, perhaps it started happening last year and nobody was testing him.
"A lot of things are coming together at once, it's almost like a perfect storm."
