INTERVIEW: Kevin Campbell on young Rooney, Boring Boring Arsenal and Turkey adventure

Kevin Campbell is often the subject of a great Premier League trivia question.

And being one of four men to have scored top flight hat-tricks for three different clubs, the former Arsenal, Everton and Nottingham Forest striker certainly has a career worth looking back on.

This week on Team 33, he was kind enough to drop in to talk about his time playing in the Premier League, but also touched on a spell in Turkey with Trabzonspor.

We kicked off this week's episode with Kev and you can listen to the full interview via the podcast player or subscribe for free on iTunes:

From his first memory of seeing ex-Toffees team-mates Wayne Rooney play to what he and his Gunners team-mates made of their 'Boring Boring Arsenal' tag, we chatted about a career that began with Arsenal as a schoolboy in the mid-80s through a period at his "spiritual home" Everton up until retirement in the mid-2000s with West Brom and Cardiff City.

He also shed some light on his time at Trabzonspor, which ended acrimoniously amid alleged offensive comments from the then-club president Mehmet Ali Yilmaz, suggesting there was more to the story than the popular perception that emerged at the time.
