WATCH: Adam Idah scores his first Premier League goal

Republic of Ireland international Adam Idah scored his first Premier League goal for Norwich on Saturday against Everton.

Republic of Ireland international Adam Idah scored his first Premier League goal for Norwich on Saturday against Everton.

Norwich went into an early lead just 16 minutes into the match, after Michael Keane recorded an own goal. It came off a Josh Sargent cross kick that was deflected by Keane into the back of the ent.

However the highlight of the first half, particularly for Irish fans, came just two minutes later, as Idah finished off a brilliant run from Brandon Williams to go two-up midway through the first half.

This was the first Premier League goal for the Irish international, who has previously scored three goals for Norwich in the Championship.

While Everton were able to get one back, Norwich managed to maintain their lead at full time, earning their first win in the League since November.

Speaking to Premier Sports after the match, Idah explained what the win means to him and his side.

"It is so big for us," Idah said. "We've had a tough spell. To get the three points today is unbelievable.

"A lot of people have written us off already, but we are not far off it. We are getting started now; we just need to keep this run going."

Idah was understandably pleased with his first goal in the Premier League.

"I was over the moon to be honest," Idah said. "To get a Premier League goal is what every kid wants. To do it today and get three points is unbelievable."

The Cork native is confident that this win will be the start of a strong run for the Canaries.

"We've always been confident," Idah said. "The Premier League is the toughest league in the world. It is going to be tough at times and I think we just need to have that confidence and belief that we can score goals.

"We scored two goals in 92 seconds today. We just need to keep this run going and we are enjoying it now."
