Harry Arter sent off as West Ham's Premier League debut at new ground ends with late win

Harry Arter was sent off late on as West Ham edged his Bournemouth side 1-0 at the Olympic Stadium.

Although, the Hammers were making their Premier League debut at their new ground after moving from the Boleyn Grounds at the end of last season, the game failed to spark to life.

But Michail Antonio's late goal meant a first league win at their new stadium but also a first victory of the domestic campaign after losing away to Chelsea in their opener on Monday.

Ireland midfielder Arter was shown a yellow card in the first half for protesting a decision.

The Bournemouth player received his second yellow with 13 minutes to go as he hauled down Cheikhou Kouyaté as the Hammers broke.

Eight minutes later, West Ham hit the front when Antonio headed in Gokhan Tore's cross to the far post.

Bournemouth almost levelled in stoppage time but Adrian parried Josh King's shot and Winston Reid blocked from Simon Francis.
