'Things aren't hunky-dory between Zidane & Perez' | Graham Hunter

Florentino Perez and Zidane's relationship is far from rosy and he could end up replacing him, according to Spanish football expert Graham Hunter

Speaking to Off The Ball Graham Hunter said the Bale transfer saga has created a rift between the two of them.

“There's a very strong sense from those who either watch Madrid or report on them that things aren’t all hunky-dory between Zidane and Florentino Perez," said Graham.

“The fact is that it’s far from impossible with the volatile nature of Real Madrid that Florentino Perez could replace Zidane or he might just stomp off again.”

Perez is keen on making the most out of any potential sale of Gareth Bale.

“There’s no way Bale hasn’t seen this threat coming and they will have to chase him out with money.

"Something has to change in order to strip Gareth Bale away from his belief that he can carry on his lifestyle in Madrid."

“Right now, neither Floreinto Perez nor Jonathan Barnett nor Bale know what the situation will end up like.”

“If Bale goes, Perez is determined to cash in big on him - he's a businessman after all. That’s why he is so keen to move him to China."

Zidane has made his intentions clear that he doesn't think Bale is for him and as Graham said he could influence things.

"Real Madrid right now with Asensio's injury which will rule him out for months have 30 first-team players. They're only allowed to give licenses to play to 25 it's as simple as that. One of those that Zidane has underlined in red is Gareth Bale.

With two weeks left in the English transfer window, any Premier League club would have to make their move - though it appears that Manchester United have cooled a long-held interest in Bale.
