Dundalk team bus comes to the rescue of stranded fans with classy gesture

When Edgar Davids was in charge of English club Barnet, he once got plenty of plaudits for a classy gesture towards fans.

In March 2013, some Barnet supporters were left stranded on the return journey from an away fixture at Accrington Stanley when the Barnet team bus happened upon them.

Davids sent the vehicle to collect the 36 supporters and got them to the nearest service station.

Something similar has happened to Dundalk fans after their minibus broke down en route towards the club's Europa League away trip to face AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands.

With the likelihood that they would miss their flight to the continent, fortunately the Dundalk team bus pulled up beside them.

Manager Stephen Kenny popped his head out and had a simple message for them: "Hop on lads".

Warning: A wee bit of strong language.
