Bohemians announce four new signings for 2020 season

Bohemians have announced four new signings for the 2020 SSE Airtricity League season including midfielder JJ Lunney who returns after leaving to sign for Waterford at the start of last season.

Also joining the Dublin club are full back Anto Breslin (pictured), winger Kris Twardek and goalkeeper Stephen McGuinness.

21-year-old Lunney was impressive in his first season with the Gypsies in 2018 when he made 21 appearances, having previously spent two seasons at Preston North End before joining St Patrick’s Athletic for 18 months in 2016.

Breslin was named in the PFAI First Division team of the year following an impressive season with Longford Town who signed him from Premier League club Wolves.

Twardek, who was released by Sligo Rovers after one-and-a-half seasons with the Bit O' Red, has been capped twice for Canada and is a graduate of the Millwall academy.

Ex-Bray Wanderers and Drogheda United goalkeeper McGuinness captained Cabinteely to a First Division play-off win against Longford before losing against Drogheda.

As well as the new signings announced today, Bohs have confirmed that seven more players from the current squad have re-signed for next season.

Defender Andy Lyons, midfielders Keith Ward, Dawson Devoy, Luke Wade-Slater, Promise Omochere and strikers Andre Wright and Christian Magerusan will all remain at Dalymount Park for the 2020 season.

Meanwhile, the club has also announced that they have renewed their relationship with Des Kelly.

The agreement sees Des Kelly Interiors returning as the main sponsors of Bohemians and will see the company's logo once again appear on the front of the club jerseys where they previously appeared for a decade from 2002 to 2011.

As well as adorning the kit of the senior team, the Des Kelly Interiors logo will appear on the kits of all of the community and grassroots teams from U8s to U18s, as well as the SSE Airtricity League U19s and amputee team.
