AC Milan U10's team racially abused by parents at youth tournament

AC Milan have revealed  that some of the members of their Under 10s team were allegedly racially abused by parents on the sideline during a youth match yesterday.

The club's underage side is taking part in the prestigious Universal Cup in Tuscany, Northern Italy, and during a match against their Paris Saint-Germain counterparts, the alleged abuse was aimed at the Rossoneri's young black players.

However, it is unclear which set of parents were involved in heckling the U10s.

Milan confirmed that they have been made aware of the incidents of abuse.

"It has been brought to our attention that during yesterday’s match between Milan-PSG, that there was alleged incidents of racism from certain 'people' in the stands towards Milan’s black players," the club said in a statement.

"We do not wish to magnify the issue, but truly hope that these reports aren’t true or that it was simply a sporadic incident. If they were to be confirmed, then it would be simply unacceptable."

This morning, the tournament organisers posted an anti-racism message on their Facebook page:

NO TO RACISM
