Referees announced for the 2017 6 Nations

The match officials for the 2017 6 Nations Championship have been revealed today.

Ireland head to Murrayfield for their opening game of the tournament against Scotland on 4th February. Romain Poite will be the man in charge, assisted by Jaco Peyper and Nick Briant. Glen Newman will be the TMO.

A week later, Joe Schmidt's side will be in Rome to take on Conor O'Shea's Italy where Glen Jackson will officiate. He will be assisted by Angus Gardner and Marius Van der Westhuizen. The TMO duties will fall to Rowan Kitt. 

Nigel Owens will be in charge when Ireland take on France in Dublin on 25th February. Wayne Barnes and Luke Pearce will run the touchline with George Ayoub looking after the technical equipment.

Barnes will be the man in the middle when Ireland travel to Cardiff to face Wales on the 10th March. Jerome Garces and Matthew Carley will be running the lines with Ben Skeen as TMO.

Garces will then take charge of the fianl game of the championship when Ireland entertain England at the Aviva Stadium. Mathieu Raynal and Marius Mitrea will assist him with Skeen as TMO again.
