Munster fight back to edge out Glasgow Warriors

Munster remain on top of the Guinness Pro 12 after the narrowest of victories against Glasgow Warriors.

The province edged out the Scottish side 16-15 at Scotstoun Stadium to pick up a crucial win and four points.

Munster are now on 37 points in the Pro 12 table, just one point clear of Ospreys, who beat Edinburgh 31-22 at Liberty Stadium.

Out-half Ian Keatley gave Munster an early lead with a penalty on nine minutes.

It got better for the province as Andrew Conway got a try with Keatley adding the extras.

But Peter Horne's 16th minute penalty reduced the deficit for Glasgow as they trailed 10-3.

Keatley converted another penalty just before the break to leave the scores at 13-3 and Munster in command.

But Glasgow fought back in the second half in an effort that almost resulted in them snatching victory at home.

First Ali Price converted a try with 18 minutes to go, before Nick Grigg added another to give the Scottish side a 15-13 lead and leave Munster trailing with the clock ticking.

But three minutes from time, Keatley converted another penalty to secure the three points that they needed to pull off a narrow win.
