Should Connacht's Marmion be propelled into the Ireland reckoning?

Former Connacht full-back Gavin Duffy agrees with former team-mate John Muldoon's claim that Kieran Marmion should be playing regularly for Ireland soon.

The Connacht No 9 scored the crucial try which helped the western men to overcome Leinster in Galway on Friday night in a landmark win.

"Kieran obviously got capped twice during the summer against Argentina so that was recognition of the season he's had. In fact it's recognition of the fact that he's played in the last 59 games. He is a tough little bugger as [Muldoon] says. He's fast and powerful and he has got that step. Hopefully he'll push on and earn more caps this year," said Duffy, who compared his style to Eoin Reddan and picked out the kicking as little issues to iron out.
