Conor Murray: "It really feels good"

Munster dominated a poor Leicester outfit earlier today to record a bonus point 38-0 win at Thomond Park.

The home side controlled all aspects of the game and kept their illustrious opponents scoreless.

Speaking to Off the Ball's Dave McIntyre afterwards, Conor Murray said: "It really feels good. It felt like we put in a performance...we got the dominant ball carries, we got the dominant breakdowns. I would never say easy but it made it enjoyable to play out there.

"I was just talking to Tyler in the dressing room briefly, things seemed to happen a little bit easier because of the front-foot ball.

"We'll enjoy the win for what it is. We're gonna go over to Leicester next week and they're very similar to us as a club. They're very proud team, proud of where they come from and they're going to want to make things right next week like we know they can. We'll enjoy the win tonight."

Commenting on the turnaround in Munster's performances over the last 12 months, Murray said: "We've got good confidence in our group now. We don't want to go over that barrier but you've got to really believe in yourself in such a high level competition.

"If things are going well, you've got to give yourself credit for why they're going well and build on that," he added.

The Munster half-back pairing controlled the game comfortably and Murray attributed this to Bleyendaal's preparation. Referring to his out-half, Murray said:

"Yeah, he's really laid back, sometimes I don't know if he's expecting the ball but that's really good to play with. It's the work that goes in during the week. He knows the game-plan inside out so by the time game-time comes around there's no panic. There's no reason to panic," he added.

Munster travel to Welford Road next Saturday in the return match and sit top of pool 1, a single point ahead of Glasgow Warriors - although the southern province have a game in hand.
