At the start of the decade, Luke Keaney was one of the top prospects in the GAA. A club star who would feature for UCD and UUJ, while earning a place on the panel of the Donegal side that got to the 2014 All-Ireland final.

However, that would be the last time he ever pulled on a Donegal jersey, and by 2016 he would have played his last game of Gaelic football.

This week, Luke sat down with Ger Gilroy on OTB AM for an hour-long chat, to tell his story for the first time.

It's a harrowing tale of over-exertion and debilitating injury that will ring home to a lot of people in the GAA.

From the depths of realising he'd never play again, to dealing with the multiple surgeries on a financial, physical and emotional level - Luke fills us in on his journey over the past few years and talks brilliantly about how others can avoid ending up like him.

This is Luke Keaney's story.
