Amanda Serrano will face Katie Taylor in the near future, according to her promoter Lou DiBella.
Speaking to Off The Brawl, DiBella said that both Serrano and Hardy will face the Irish fighter in the future after they fight each other.
"There's going to be an announcement this week, Amanda Serrano is going to fight Heather Hardy who are both clients of mine," he said.
"Heather is the 26-pound champion. Amanda is going to fight Heather and both of them are committed to fighting Katie in the future as part of the deal for the fight."
This isn't the first time that the idea of a fight between Serrano and Taylor has cropped up.
Responding to a tweet from Off The Ball back in July, the Puerto Rican fighter said she was keen to get a deal done.
Serrano said "I must agree with Katie Taylor on this one. It’s the biggest fight in boxing, period. We are both balls to the wall warriors & the true winners will be the Fans [sic]. Hope negotiations can be made ASAP."

DiBella gave more details about the fight between Serrano and Hardy on the show as well.
"The fight will be on DAZN on September 13th from the theatre of Madison Square Garden.
"That's one of the biggest fights in American female boxing that there's been and absolutely the biggest fight in the history of New York women's boxing," the promoter said.
Irish boxer Joe Ward was also in studio speaking about signing his first professional deal with DiBella Entertainment.
With the success that Katie Taylor has had since turning professional, he said he would love to emulate what she's done.
"Look, she's been very successful in everything she's done in amateur and professional boxing.
"Yeah, definitely it would be great to achieve some of the stuff she has achieved," Ward said.
