Manchester United-Arsenal team news: Van de Beek on the bench for United

The lineups for Sunday's Manchester United-Arsenal match have been announced.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are looking to build on an impressive 5-0 home win over RB Leipzig on Wednesday.
Their Champions League form is a far cry from their domestic results, and Solskjaer has seemingly opted for a 4-3-3 anchored by Scott McTominay and Fred.

It will be United's first game since the death of legendary midfielder Nobby Stiles was announced on Friday.

The midfielder won two First Division titles and a European Cup with United in 1968, as well as a World Cup alongside former Irish boss Jack Charlton in 1966.

Stiles had been suffering from dementia for a number of years.

Stiles joined Manchester United as a teenager in 1960, going on to make more than 300 appearances for the club, and forming a key part of their glory years under Matt Busby, culminating in their European Cup success against Benfica in 1968.

It was at Manchester United where he formed a lifelong friendship with Republic of Ireland legend John Giles, with the pair becoming brothers-in-law after Stiles married Giles's sister.

He was also an integral part of the England side that lifted the World Cup on home soil in 1966, playing every minute of their campaign. He is the third member of that England side to pass away in 2020 after Jack Charlton in July, and Norman Hunter in April.

Last week, the families of both Stiles and Charlton gave their backing to further research into the role sport and repeated blows to the head play in dementia.
