John Duggan's Euros Football Tip of the Day | Ukraine can crush Oranje

During the European Championship, John Duggan brings you a preview and tips for the top football games in association with Paddy Power...

We started off this Euros feature with a winner, as Romelu Lukaku delivered the goods by scoring at any time for Belgium against Russia.

Remember Andriy Shevchenko? The Dynamo Kiev and AC Milan legend is now managing his native Ukraine, who take on the Netherlands in Amsterdam in the second Group D game of the day.

Ukraine are responsible for probably the worst game of football I witnessed in my life - the 2006 World Cup last 16 tie against Switzerland.

That game went to penalties after a goalless 120 minutes - this one won't.

There are reasons to believe Ukraine can cause the Dutch some problems.

Virgil van Dijk is missing the tournament and Holland will not only miss his defensive qualities, but also his leadership. Matthijs De Ligt is also absent. Manager Frank de Boer is also unproven, following failed spells at Inter Milan and Crystal Palace.

The Netherlands will be decent going forward, propelled by former Manchester United striker Memphis Depay, but they look suspect at the back as they taste a major international football tournament for the first time in seven years. They were beaten 4-2 by Turkey earlier this year and the Turks didn't especially frank the form in their opening game.

Ukraine's star man is Oleksandr Zinchenko of Manchester City, who plays in a more advanced role for his country. They topped a qualifying group which included Portugal and Serbia and in recent times they have beaten Spain and drawn with world champions France.

The Dutch are at home, which should count for something, but Ukraine are not a bad counter attacking side and West Ham's Andriy Yarmolenko should feature. I feel they are over priced at 5/1.

Football recommendation: Ukraine to beat the Netherlands in European Championship Group D - 5/1

Good luck!
