Bridge and Billiards players caught using performance enhancing drugs

The World Anti Doping Agency have revealed that anglers along with bridge and billiards player have been caught using performance enhancing drugs.

10.6% of those who take part in angling were recorded as producing “an adverse analytical finding” along with 3.6% of bridge players, and 1.1% of billiards players according to The Daily Telegraph.

The results also take into account the use of TUE's (Therapeutic Use Exemption) and state that the failed tests may not necessarily be as a direct result of cheating.

Doping expert Dr Jaap Stomphorst told The Independent; “Bridge is played in tournaments two or three weeks long. People tend to get tired so a stimulant can keep you awake during play.”
