Tipp's Brian Fox: "Croke Park as much as it is a field of dreams, it's just a pitch"

Tipperary forward Brian Fox has highlighted the continued scoring threat that has underpinned the county's progression to an All-Ireland football semi-final place.

The Premier county scored three goals in a 3-13 to 1-10 victory over Galway at Croke Park to follow up their nail-biting qualifier win over Derry.

And Fox feels Tipp continued to do what they have been doing best regardless at the occasion and location.

"I don't think we've ever played with shackles. We've always put up big scores. We put up a big score against Cork, we put up a big score against Derry and Croke Park as much as it is a field of dreams, it's just a pitch. When you go out there, you try and do the right thing - try and score. I know we missed some goal chances so we could have had five goals. At times we really opened them up," he told Newstalk's Dave McIntyre after today's quarter-final.

Fox suggested that 2016's outstanding year has been backed up by recent progress.

"I've been playing for nine years and [a semi-final] definitely wasn't on the agenda when I was starting off. But I've seen development, I've seen growth year-on-year when I've been here," he said.
