GALLERY: Roscommon shake off the first round stutter with an emphatic win over Leitrim

Roscommon showed they have recovered from the tricky New York assignment, with a 1-21 to 0-11 victory over Leitrim in the Connacht Championship today.

Cathal Cregg hit four points as the Division 1 side comfortably overcame their provincial rivals to set up a Connacht semi-final meeting with Sligo on June 5.

Meanwhile, Leitrim played the remaining stages of the game with just 12 players after Killian McGriskin (two yellows) and Darren Sweeney(red card) were both sent to the line.

Adrian Croal was also issued his marching orders on a black card but Leitrim could not replace him as they had used up their quota of substitutes.

Conor Devaney goaled for Roscommon in the first half to put the Rossies 1-06 to 0-04 in front and followed it up with a flurry of points to kill the game and ensure they advance to the Connacht sem-final, while Leitrim will enter the qualifier draw.
