Double-headers on the cards for Cork, the Dubs, and Laois

Cork, Dublin, and Laois look set for double-headers next weekend after the GAA released the dates and venues for their upcoming Allianz National Hurling League fixtures.

With the Dublin footballers playing Derry at Croke Park on Saturday night in Division 1 at the same time as their Laois counterparts host Kildare in Division 2 (7.0) at O'Moore Park, the revised fixtures (below) point to both hurling games becoming undercards.

The reverse could be true at Páirc Uí Rinn on Sunday, when the Cork hurlers' clash with Wexford will probably become the main event to Mayo's Leeside clash in the top tier of the big ball (3.0 at present).

The GAA say times will be confirmed shortly.

Division I Quarter-Finals

Saturday, March 28: Dublin v Limerick, Croke Park, TBC

Sunday, March 29:

Offaly v Tipperary, O'Connor Park, Tullamore, TBC
Cork v Wexford, Páirc Uí Rinn, TBC
Waterford v Galway, Walsh Park, TBC

Division IA Relegation Play-Off

Sunday, March 29: Kilkenny v Clare, Nowlan Park, TBC

Division IB Relegation Play-Off

Saturday, March 28: Laois v Antrim, O'Moore Park, Portlaoise, TBC.

Meanwhile, the GAA have confirmed that the new rules voted for at Congress - including one-on-one penalties and the advantage rule in hurling  - will not come into play until April 11.

New rules normally kick in 30 days after Congress. However, Central Council have the right to delay their implementations.

The final wording of the revised playing rules will come before Central Council for approval on 28 March, and the association says it's vital that players and referees have an opportunity to familiarise themselves with changes in playing rules before they become operative.
