The Final Whistle: Dundalk score late to win the Louth Derby

SOCCER

Dundalk have opened-up a six-point lead at the top of the Airtricity League Premier Division after grabbing a late winner over local rivals Drogheda United in tonight's Louth derby.

A 90th minute free-kick from John Mountney took a cruel deflection off the wall to wrong-foot the Drogheda goalkeeper as Stephen Kenny's side claimed a narrow 2-1 win.

Drogheda thought they had done enough to at least claim a point after striker Lee Duffy had earlier cancelled out Darren Meenan's opening goal.

Meanwhile, First Division leaders Wexford Youths remain two points clear of Finn Harps.

Wexford thrashed their South-East rivals, Waterford United 4-0 at Ferrycarrig Park while Harps beat Cabinteely 1-0.

In the other game, Cobh Ramblers came from a goal down to beat hosts Athlone Town 4-1.

GAA

Kilkenny and Galway have named their teams ahead of Sunday's Leinster final at Croke Park.

Brian Cody has named Colin Fennelly at full-forward in his Kilkenny side after he was a late withdrawal from their semi-final win over Wexford. John Power is the player to make way.

Galway make two changes from their comfortable win over Laois last time out.

Fergal Moore starts at wing-back while Davy Glennon comes into the attack - replacing Niall Healy in the full-forward line where he'll join Joe Canning and Cathal Mannion.

Ahead of their All Ireland qualifier against Cork tomorrow evening, Wexford manager Liam Dunne has handed a championship debut to wing-back Paudie Foley.

Daithi Waters drops to the bench, while Foley's team-mates from last year's Under-21 side, Aidan Nolan and Kevin Foley, will also make their first Championship starts.

The returning Colm Galvin has been listed on the bench for Clare in tomorrow's All-Ireland SHC Qualifier Round 1 clash against Offaly.

Brendan Bugler returns from suspension to start at right wing-back while Aaron Cunningham has recovered from injury to be named among the subs.

Meanwhile, Conal Keaney has reverted to the fowards for the Dublin hurlers ahead of their trip to O'Moore Park to face Laois.

Keaney has been named at full-forward by manager Ger Cunningham moves Liam Rushe to his more familiar position at centre-back.

TENNIS

Serena Williams had to dig deep to claim a place in the second week at Wimbledon.

The five time champion came back from three games to love behind in the deciding set of her third round match to beat home favourite Heather Watson in a tense battle on Centre Court.
