Camogie - There are still some crucial Quarter-Final places up for grabs this weekend

As we enter the final rounds of the group stages of the 2015 Liberty Insurance Camogie Championships it’s time take a look ahead to the fifth round of matches with crucial Quarter-Final places still up for grabs.

Liberty Insurance Senior Camogie Championship Group 1, Saturday July 18th

Cork v Wexford

Cork and Wexford meet in a battle for second place in the group, with both teams safe in the knowledge that they will progress to the Quarter-Finals.

Cork will be looking to build on their recent wins against Limerick and Offaly as they look to defend their All-Ireland crown. Wexford meanwhile will be looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat to table-topping Galway and to finish off the group stage as impressively as they began it when they won their opening two matches against Limerick and Offaly.

Throw in at 3.15pm.

Galway v Limerick

Galway can afford to experiment in this match safe in the knowledge that they have already advanced to the Semi-Finals, whilst Limerick will be looking to see out their first campaign at Senior on a high note having given a good account of themselves thus far in what has proven an extremely competitive group.

This match was a draw when the two sides met recently in the National League so both sides will fancy their chances of claiming the bragging rights this weekend. Throw in at 3.45pm

Liberty Insurance Senior Camogie Championship Group 2

Derry v Dublin

This is a crucial match in the battle for the final Quarter-Final spot from Group 2, with both sides needing a win to have a chance of making the knock-out stages.

Derry have yet to put any points on the board in the campaign, but with 2 matches against their nearest rivals still to play for them, they still have every chance of rectifying this and making it to the Quarter-Finals.

This is Dublin’s last chance to edge ahead of their Quarter-Final rivals in the group, and after two narrow defeats in the campaign last week’s draw against Clare will be seen as a platform for them to go one further and get a much needed win this weekend.

Throw in at 2.30pm

Tipperary v Clare

With Tipperary already having secured a place in the knock-out stages, this match will be of much more significance to Clare, who will be hoping to take a massive step towards securing a coveted place in the Quarter-Finals.

Clare will be looking to avenge last week’s draw against Dublin, a match which they lead going into the final stages, whilst Tipperary will be looking to restore their earlier impressive form having suffered a heavy loss to Kilkenny last weekend.

Throw in at 2.30pm
