Munster GAA has confirmed that 2,400 supporters will be permitted to attend the upcoming Senior Hurling semi-final between Cork and Limerick at Semple Stadium.

The Saturday July 3rd encounter, which begins Limerick's defence of their Munster and All-Ireland titles, is part of the trial fixtures for increased attendances at Irish sporting events this summer.

2,300 fans will be in the in the stands with a further 100 on the Killinan End terrace while tickets will be distributed by the county board's rather than going on public sale.

Tipperary await the winners of Waterford and Clare in the other last-four clash and the capacity for that game will be capped at 200 spectators.

A 200 attendance limit will also be place for this weekend's Munster Senior Football Championship clash of Limerick and Waterford at the Gaelic Grounds, Kerry's meeting with Clare at Killarney and the Hurling quarter-final between Waterford and Clare at Semple Stadium.

The number of spectators allowed at inter-county games from July 5th will rise to 500, which will take in the Munster Championships at Minor and Under 20 level in both Hurling and Football.

The increased to 500 will also included next month's Munster Senior Football Championship semi-finals on July 10th  - though the move to 500 fans is subject to review based on public health advice.
